We rejoined Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church this past Sunday. I knew we would eventually because it didn't matter where we went, it just didn't feel like home. Nothing against those other churches because some were really great! If any of my followers (all two of you) are ever in the area, you should stop in and visit us!!!
Miles went to children's church for the first time and told us after that he loved his new church because "they even have a school". His excitement to learn about God really makes me happy. We helped start the children's church (and a few other youth programs) when we attended there over 4 years ago, so to now see my baby benefiting feels like we've come a full circle.
While Miles was in Children's Church, Victor and I sat with Preston and during the invitational song Preston starts saying, loudly, "get up, Mommy, get up". So, Victor and I looked at each other and got up!
We were welcomed back with open arms... it was a feeling we couldn't have gotten from any other church family. I'm happy to be back... and Pastor O, if you read this, I promise it wasn't because you had us over for dinner the night before... well, not solely because of that. But that chicken was on it!
I just read this and it is such a blessing to have you and the family back home. You all have and will continue to be a blessing to the Good Hope family. (I know it wasn't the dinner although I did throw down...lol). We look forward to many more fellowships.
