I actually pulled it off! Preston turns 2 on 1/11 and I really wanted to have a lowkey party for him not going too overoard like I tend to do. I decided on a balloon theme b/c Preston, like most kids, LOVES balloons and can play with them for hours. I sat up watching The Hangover, drinking a glass of wine, and blew up about 40 balloons. About an hour in I didn't know if I was lightheaded from the wine or balloons or both! I wasn't unhappy either way. Then the next morning Victor blew up 60 (30 helium) with the help of Miles. Miles enjoyed blowing them up then letting them go as spit flew all over. Boys, ew.
I also had cupcakes with ribbon shaped as balloons. I felt pretty proud of myself, actually. I researched a few games, so we played 'stuff your kid with as many balloons as you can in 30 seconds' and 'balloon keep up with the body part that is named off (ex. arm, head, knee...)'. Funny! I think the kids had fun. I did and I don't feel exhausted b/c I kept it Simple & Sweet!
Preston got the hook up on presents, of course. Our friends spoil us! We are so blessed to have found the friends we have. So blessed.
Tomorrow... another party... I'm, thankfully, not the hostess this time!
