I don't know if I mentioned it, of course I have. I'm doing Weight Watchers (123,543,239th time). I started back in October. I'm down almost 16lbs!! I'd like to lose a total of 30lbs. The holidays put a halt to my loser ways. I couldn't get my groove back for weeks... until last week. I feel like my groove is back and my eating is on track. (Hey, that rhymed!)
I got my husband a Xbox 360 w/ Kinect for Christmas and it turned out to be a gift for me as well. If you haven't played a game on the Kinect, please do. Even if it's at your local electronics store where you'll embarrass yourself in front of others, as I do in the comfort of my own home. I got the game Dance Central and boy does that give you a good work out (which is good for activity points!). I love to dance. LOVE IT. So this game is right up my alley. They put the moves in front of me and I work it to the ground. So much in fact that I did it while having the flu. Dedication, much? Yes and thank you.
My favorite dancer is Taye. Sassy with the right amount of ghetto. Yep, that sums me up in a nutshell. Now if you don't like to dance, they also have track-and-field and other similar games. My kids enjoy it as well. It's amazing to watch my 5 yr-old read the screen and control it himself! I'm sure you can see my logic to letting him play video games, right? He's LEARNING!!
So, there we have it, the first post of the year. I had hoped to make it in January, at least. Oh well... at least it's here now. I'll leave you with a fun (and awful iPhone quality) picture of my guys playing the Adventures game on the Xbox Kinect.
